Thomlinson Junior School currently caters for 243
boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 11 and prides itself on the
fact that pupils should have the opportunity to participate in a range
of school trips.
The school aims to create independent, lifelong learners who are ready for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st Century.
This video follows pupils from Year 4 on a field
trip to York Castle Museum, where pupils use the NOKIA N810 as a
digital worksheet to record their visit using pictures, text and voice
creating a rich multimedia learning experience. The video then follows
the pupils back to the classroom where the teacher is able to reinforce
the pupils’ personal learning through collaboration and engagement
