The SANAKO Study family is a scalable solution with the SANAKO Study 500 solution at the core. The optional modules can be added to this core in order to build a solution that meets your needs and can be flexibly deployed using our unique dynamic licensing system. This means for example that any workstations can be ’promoted’ to say a full SANAKO Study 1200 language laboratory solution for a particular lesson and once finished these licenses can be handed back for immediate use elsewhere in the school. SANAKO have also recognised that not all teachers or classrooms require all features and modules as standard and this is why all our optional modules, such as Examination, Video Live!, Admin, Voting, Authoring and others can all be added as required in the same dynamic and flexible manner - a truly unique solution that offers real value for money and technical excellence. Why did we develop such a solution?

At around the turn of the millennium the educational market had a need for a simple classroom based remote control solution and as such several leading market solutions were prevalent such as NetOp School, NetSupport School and our very own award-winning Imperata. These simple solutions soon had to develop to meet the demands of customers and as such they all suffered from the same issues; these being,

1. The user interface soon became filled with icons and therefore became confusing and over-specified for the average teacher requirements

2. Many of the new features were not required and simply added to the base system in order to ’keep up with the competition’ and not based upon actual teaching requirements

As a result, SANAKO took a decision to invest many millions of EUROs into a development known as the Study concept. At the core of this solution is the simple and yet effective SANAKO Study 500 solution which can be added to in order to provide the degree of sophistication and features that you require. This development was designed from the very start to be based on the Microsoft .NET framework and hence provide tight integration and optimal performance with the Windows operating system.

It was also decided that the Study solution would be far more than just a classroom control solution - the development has led to a Whole School Solution that extends the learning environment beyond the classroom.
